Terms of Use

VoiceReminder · Last updated: 22 September 2026

Welcome to VoiceReminder. These terms are the agreement between you and us about using the app. We've kept them short and readable, but they are a real agreement — please read them, especially section 4, which explains what VoiceReminder is not.

1. Accepting these terms

By downloading, opening, or using VoiceReminder, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the app. If you're using it somewhere that requires you to be a certain age to enter a contract, you confirm you meet it — and the app isn't intended for children under 13.

These terms incorporate Apple's Standard End User Licence Agreement (EULA), which applies alongside them to any purchase made through the App Store. If these terms ever conflict with Apple's for such a purchase, Apple's terms prevail.

2. What VoiceReminder is

VoiceReminder is a reminder app you talk to. You speak a reminder, the app turns your speech into text, works out what you meant and when it should fire, then generates a spoken version to play back at you when the time comes. You can also type reminders instead.

You don't need an account. The app needs microphone access to record and notification permission to alert you; without those, parts of it won't work.

3. AI-generated reminders, and getting them wrong

VoiceReminder's transcription, its reading of what you meant, and the voice it plays back to you are all produced by AI. It's good, and it isn't perfect. It can mishear a word, misread a date, pick the wrong time zone, misjudge "next Friday", or phrase something oddly.

Always check reminders that matter. After you create one, confirm the time, date, and wording on screen. You are responsible for verifying that a reminder says what you meant and is set for when you need it.

Delivery depends on things outside our control too: your device's notification settings, Focus and Do Not Disturb modes, battery-saver behaviour, silent mode, the operating system's own scheduling, whether the phone is switched on, and network availability when a reminder is created. We can't guarantee that any given reminder will be delivered, on time, or at all.

4. VoiceReminder is not a medical device

VoiceReminder is a convenience tool, not medical software. It is not a medical device, it is not regulated as one, and it does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Plenty of people use it for medication reminders, and that's a fine thing to use it for — but it must never be your only safeguard for medication or any other health-critical task. Do not rely on it alone for doses that must not be missed, doubled, or mistimed. Keep a backup: a pill organiser, a second alarm, a carer, a pharmacist's schedule.

Nothing in the app replaces advice from a doctor, pharmacist, or other qualified professional. Never change how you take a medication because of something the app said, and never ignore professional advice because of it. If you have a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services.

5. Subscriptions and payment

VoiceReminder is free to use with a limit on how many active reminders you can have at once. VoiceReminder Pro removes that limit. The current price and subscription length are always shown on the purchase screen in the app before you buy.

We can change prices or what's included in Pro. Changes apply to future billing periods, never retroactively, and we'll give notice where the law requires it.

6. Acceptable use

Use VoiceReminder for its intended purpose and don't make life difficult for anyone. Specifically, don't:

We can suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these rules or puts the service at risk.

7. Your content and ours

Your reminders are yours. You keep all rights to what you record and write. You grant us only the narrow permission we need to run the service: to process, store, and transmit your content in order to create, store, and play back your reminders, as described in the Privacy Policy. We don't use your reminder content to advertise to you, and it is never used to train AI models.

Everything else — the app itself, its name, design, interface, code, and generated voices — belongs to us or our licensors, and is protected by copyright and other laws. These terms grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on devices you own or control. They don't give you ownership of anything.

8. Availability, updates, and changes to the app

We work to keep VoiceReminder running, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. It depends on OpenAI and Convex, and on Apple's platform, any of which can go down. We can update, change, or discontinue features — including the app as a whole — and we'll give notice when a change is significant. If we discontinue a paid service, you won't be charged for periods after it stops.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

VoiceReminder is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that reminders will be accurate, timely, uninterrupted, or delivered at all.

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, opportunity, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the app — including any consequence of a missed, late, incorrect, or undelivered reminder. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 50.

Some jurisdictions don't allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of this section might not apply to you. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't lawfully be limited — and nothing here removes consumer rights you have under the law where you live.

Reminder times, titles and spoken lines are produced by AI from what you say and can be wrong or incomplete. Check the reminder the app shows you before relying on it.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the developer's country of residence, the United Arab Emirates, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If you're a consumer, you keep the protection of any mandatory laws of the country you live in, and you can bring proceedings there.

11. Changes to these terms

We update these terms as the app changes. The "last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version, and material changes will be highlighted in the app. If you keep using VoiceReminder after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms. If you don't accept them, stop using the app and cancel any subscription.
